Late in the first half, an Own Goal from a vicious corner was headed into the goal by a Bexhill Utd defender to give homeside AFC Varndeaians the lead at halftime. The lead was doubled early in the second half by Mark Goldson when he broke out in a counter-attack, got behind the defence and scored at the second attempt.
