Seaford Town who are very near to the top of Division One had a good chance to advance to the next round of the RUR Charity Cup as they played Hassocks who are near to the relegation zone of the Premier Division. But it was not to be as Hassocks came home with a 2-0 victory. All the goal action was in the first half which started when Josh Short was fouled in the box and the penalty was converted by captain Jack Troak. At the end of the first half Jack Troak scored his second when he poked home the ball from close range. At the start of the second half a rush of blood to the head saw Bradley Tighe sent off for violent conduct. Even with the advantage of now playing against ten players, Seaford Town could not claw any goals back so the victory went to Hassocks.
