Loxwood had a really hard home game as they struggled to avoid relegation against Saltdean United who were in an eight game winning streak and played to gain points to continue the chase for the Premier Division title. As expected Saltdean United went into a very early lead when Joseph Shelley converted a penalty for handball. Three more goals were added before half time from Jack Langford who rounded the goalkeeper and scored into an empty net, then Harry Shooman smashed home after a corner from George Taggart and then Joseph Shelley headed home another George Taggart corner. In the second half, Jack Langford completed his hat trick with two more goals to give a 6-0 victory to Saltdean United as they continue to chase for the leadership of the Premier Division. Late in the game, Loxwood went down to seven players at various times in the second half as four were sent to the "Sin Bin" for "dissent by words or gestures towards the Referee".
