It took some time for Newhaven and Sheppey Utd to settle down and get used to the new 3G playing surface. The visitors started the better but Newhaven came into the game with chances to Charlie Bennet and Lee Robinson. With the score goalless at half time, it was all to play for in the second half with Sheppey Utd needing to be carefull having picked-up two yellow cards in the first half. In the second half Alfie Rogers put Newhaven ahead but it was a very short lived lead when substitute Jefferson Aibangbee scored for Sheppey Utd who took the lead a little later with a goal scored by Danny Leonard which turned out to be enough to give a 2-1 win to Sheppey United who will play at home to Lewes in the next round.
