FA Challenge Cup
Extra Preliminary Round

Newhaven took immediate control of their FA Cup replay game at home to Canterbury City. In the first five minutes it was all "The Dockers" as Alfie Rogers scored then ten minutes later Lucas Frenzen-Jones scored to double the lead. A third goal was added by Tom Underwood mid-way through the first half. Canterbury City must be wondering what went wrong as Max Vardy scored the fourth goal and then Lee Robinson made it five. In time added on to the first half, Lucas Franzen-Jones scored his second goal to further establish a resounding lead at halftime. After a goalless first half in the first game, it is staggering to see the scoreline in this game at half time. In the second half, Newhaven went down to ten players when Don Street received a red card but that did not stop Alfie Rogers from scoring his second goal. Soon after Lee Robinson got onto the scoresheet again with his second goal. With the score heading towards double figures, Marcin Ruda got on the scoresheet. The double figure score was achieved when Lee Robinson completed his hattrick. With this incredible 10-0 victory over Canterbury City, Newhaven moved into the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup but will have to wait until next Tuesday to find out if they will be playing away to either opponents Sheppey United or Athletic Newham.
