Week 35 Saturday
The fixtures are coming thick and fast now for Littlehampton Town as they now seem to be playing every other day. After playing a S.C.F.L, Peter Bentley Challenge Cup match on Tuesday they have a re-arranged away game at Crawley Down Gatwick to be played on Thursday and are hoping that the floodlights do not fail. Peacehaven and Telscombe play Steyning Town at home on Friday which then leaves a programme of nine further matches in the Southern Combination Football League. Premier Division to be played on Saturday..
Saltdean Utd will be hoping that they can overcome a buoyant Pagham after their midweek cup win, whilst AFC Uckfield Town will be looking to disrupt the run of Littlehampton Town to the title. Newhaven will be hoping to keep the pressure on the two teams above them as they play at home to Hassocks. Second to bottom team AFC Varndeanians will be hoping to gather three more points to lighten their relegation pressure when they play at home to Lingfield and bottom club East Preston travel to play Crawley Down Gatwick.
Crawley Down Gatwick V Littlehampton Town (24th March)
Crawley Down Gatwick gave Littlehampton Town a shock when they went ahead with a wonderful goal from Oli Leslie early in the first half.. However the "Golds" were quick to equalise with a great long distance strike from Liam Humphreys finding the bottom corner of the goal.. Into the second half the visitors took the lead when Aaron Capon tapped in a cross from George Gaskin. Not to be outdone, George Gaskin scored the third goal when he lobbed the "Anvils" goalkeeper from a distance to give Littlehampton Town a 3-1 victory. This victory moves the "Golds" back to the top of the Premier Division two points clear of Saltdean United and with a game in hand.

Peacehaven & Tels V Steyning Town (25th March)
Steyning Town played very well with some fine moves and stiff defending to keep the first half goalless.. The lack of goals was broken early in the second half when Joshua Bradley gave the visitors the lead. This lead was soon cancelled out by Max Hollobone who converted a penalty. Later in the second half Jonathan Evans secured the 2-1 victory for Peacehaven and Telscombe.

Alfold V Eastbourne Utd AFC (26th March)
Alfold gained a well earned victory over high flying Eastbourne Utd AFC. Kelvin Lucas scored for the home side in the first half and with no more goals the 1-0 win was secured.

Bexhill United V Broadbridge Heath (26th March)
Bexhill Utd eventually gained victory over Broadbridge Heath with both sides scoring good goals. Evan Archibald and later Thomas Vickers scored for the home side with Jamie Taylor pulling a goal back for the visitors before the half time whistle. Evan Archbald scored again in the second half to increase the lead which was decreased soon after by Broadbridge Heath. The 3-2 victory keeps Bexhill Utd in the top four of the Premier Division.

Crawley Down Gatwick V East Preston (26th March)
In a very high scoring one sided game, East Preston became the first team to be relegated after a defeat by Crawley Down Gatwick. Guy Harding, Charlie Pitcher and Oli Leslie all scored in the first half to give the home side the lead. Goals galore in the second half with two early goals from Charlie Pitcher, then one each from Michael Wood and Oli Leslie. Also in the second half both Carl Brown and Richard Campbell scored for East Preston. As the second half neared the end, both Oli Leslie and Charlie Pitcher scored a further two goals each for Crawley Down Gatwick to complete the devastating 11-2 victory over East Preston.

Eastbourne Town V Loxwood (26th March)
Eastbourne Town played out a goalless first half against seriously relegation-threatened Loxwood. The second half came to life when Louis Veneti put the home side ahead and then later Louis Veneti made certain of Eastbourne Town's 2-0 victory with his second goal.

Lingfield V AFC Varndeanians (26th March)
The team of the month so far, AFC Varndeanians completed a victory over mid table Lingfield to move out of the relegation zone. Lingfield started the scoring very early when Braiden Hall smashed home the ball from close range. Soon afterwards Tommy Boyle leveled the score and then Alexander Rainford scored to take the lead which was further increased by Alexander Rainford just before the half time whistle. A very early second half goal from Alexander Rainford for his hattrick completed the 4-1 victory for AFC Varndeanians.

Little Common V Horsham YMCA (26th March)
Little Common, playing at home, took the lead in the first half with a header from Lewis Hole. The lead was increased early in the second half as Oliver Westlake ran hard and fast at the defence then slotted the ball past the advancing goalkeeper. Substitute James Crone finally sealed a 3-0 victory for Little Common when he smashed the ball across the goal to land inside the far post.

Littlehampton Town V AFC Uckfield Town (26th March)
Premier Division leaders, Littlehampton Town played cautiously at home to AFC Uckfield Town with Lee Garnham scoring in the first half. With no more goals in the second half Littlehampton Town survived a scare with a narrow 1-0 win, but all wins count narrow or not.

Newhaven V Hassocks (26th March)
Newhaven in third place dropped two points in the home draw with Hassocks. Just before halftime Lucas Franzen-Jones put the home side ahead but with seconds to go before the halftime whistle Jack Troak levelled the score. Both teams played out the second half with no more goals being scored to give both teams a point each from a 1-1 draw.

Saltdean United V Pagham (26th March)
One goal each in the first half from Kieron Pamment and Harry Shooman gave Saltdean Utd a comfortable lead over Pagham at halftime. In the second half Ross Edwards scored for Pagham but it was not enough and Saltdead Utd held on for a 2-1 home victory and stay in second place in the Premier Division close behind the leaders as the championship develops into a two horse race.

Week 35 Midweek Fixtures
In Week 35 there were only two mid-week games and one was yet another cup game for Littlehampton Town when they played near neighbours Wick in the semi-final of the Southern Combination Football League. Peter Bentley Challenge Cup on neutral ground at Mill Road, Arundel. Littlehampton Town have won all four of the previous meetings between these two clubs spread over several seasons. The other game is between Division One Shoreham and Pagham at the "Middle Road Stadium" in a quarter-final round game also of the Peter Bentley Challenge Cup. Back in November Pagham beat Shoreham 2-0 in a game in the Sx.C.F.A. RUR Charity Cup. 2nd round.
Littlehampton Town V Wick (22nd March)
The Seaside Showdown kicked off on the banks of the River Arun and in the shadows of Arundel Castle as both teams played for a place in the Final. Both teams created substantial chances and likewise both defences were awake to snuff out any danger so the score was goalless at halftime. Into the second half and Wick took a surprising lead when Ben Gray turned a superb cross from Johan van Driel into the goal only to be mobbed by his teammates. With time rapidly running out in the second half, it came down to Lucas Pattenden to equalise and save Littlehampton Town from defeat and to deny Wick a monumental win. With the final score at 1-1 it was into a penalty shoot-out at which the Premier Division team won 4-1. Littlehampton Town reached their first Cup Final of the season and await to find out their opponents.

Shoreham V Pagham (22nd March)
Middle Road Stadium is the only place to be on this Tuesday evening, Cup Football under lights with a possible upset on the cards. After good work down the wing, the ball was crossed and Ryan Morey was on hand to head the ball into the goal to open the scoring for the visitors in the first half. Later in the first half Ramon Santos equalised when he smashed the ball home. Despite plenty of chances and excellent defending the were no more goals in the second half so it was all square 1-1 at the end of full time so into penalties at which the Premier Division team finally prevailed winning the penalty shootout 4-3. Pagham now go on to play Newhaven away in the semi-final.

Week 36
During Week 36, there is a real mixture of games arranged to be played on various days. On Monday there is the battle of all battles as second to bottom AFC Varndeanians welcome bottom club East Preston to the "Withdean Stadium" which may sort out the relegation positions in the Premier Division of the Southern Combination Football League. On Tuesday, two very close mid-table teams will meet as Lingfield host Little Common at the "Pavilion".
